Beschreibung
Parker: The 2016 Kastanienbusch Riesling GG shows a clear, classic, elegant, aromatic bouquet of ripe Riesling fruit with fine earthy spice and herbal notes. Deep, dense and aromatic as well as complex on the palate, it's always fresh and cool but also supple and very juicy. Perhaps it has a little sweetness; in any case, it's round and quite pleasing but with a fine tannin structure in the pleasantly bitter finish. This is a food wine that needs a companion. Tasted at the Rebholz Kastanienbusch/Christmann Idig/Wittmann Morstein vertical tasting in Westhofen in August 2024.
