Finca Allende Aurus 1999

Parker: The 1999 Aurus has an attractive, mint-tinged bouquet with dark cherries, cranberry and dark plum aromas that are crisp and defined. The palate is medium-bodied with firm, Bordeaux-like tannins. There is a foursquare nature to the 1998, but at the same time it is well-balanced and focused with earthy dark plum and balsamic towards the finish. Classy.

Galloni: (mostly from very old tempranillo vines) Bright ruby-red. Exotic, highly perfumed aromas of liqueur-like berries and licorice. Dense, large-scaled and sweet, with superripe flavors of currant, licorice, minerals and dried herbs. Extremely youthful, almost violent, today, with its structure covered by baby fat. Finishes with superb length and a flavor of licorice
