Beschreibung
Parker: The 1999 Turriga is one of the best examples yet of this wine, a standard-bearer for Italy’s south for well over a decade. A blend of Cannonau, Carignano, Bovale and Malvasia Nera, with the latter three grapes supplying – like Syrah and Mourvedre in southern France – tannins and color in support of the Grenache, its high-intensity nose of plum jam and macerated cherries, lavender, and Mediteranean herbs is followed by rich, ripe, and velvety flavors, warmly alcoholic, caressing in texture, and long and resonant on the finish and aftertaste. 92/100
